New Toyota FCV Plus concept car based on hydrogen

Compressed hydrogen has a higher energy density than electricity, and can be generated from very different materials. Hydrogen is easily stored, making it a promising source of future energy. Therefore, in the vision of Toyota in the future, humankind will make extensive use of hydrogen as an energy carrier. This vision is embodied in the concept FCV Plus.

Environmentally friendly (“green”) hydrogen generated from a wide variety of primary sources, will translate into reality the idea of a local independent power supply. Automotive hydrogen fuel cell will take on a new role, becoming a source of electricity. The purpose of Toyota – to create fuel cell vehicles, endowed with new capabilities to transform them from non-polluting mode of transport in the power of the car.

Also stock contained in the tank, the vehicle may use sources of hydrogen outside the vehicle to generate electricity. Thus, the concept can be transformed into a stable source of electricity for use at home or on the street.
When the vehicle is not used as the vehicle, its capacity can be used as power generator for the local infrastructure.
