Recently Lexus Company has released a teaser image-concept hybrid sedan, which will premiere in October of this year at the Motor Show in Sydney. According to the Japanese brand, the new product is an extension of another prototype – LF-LC, which was submitted in January in Detroit during another great automotive event. The new concept will be powered by a hybrid power engine with total capacity of more than 500 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Design and technical stuffing of this model may in future be reposed on the production of Lexus supercars.

As previously reported, the Japanese automakers are seriously thinking about starting a series of hybrid supercar like the Lexus LF-LC. Initially, the company categorically denied the possibility of such a model, but the positive reaction of dealers and potential buyers during Detroit Auto show with the presented prototype forced management to reconsider this idea. The final decision on the matter hasn’t been made yet, however, according to the head of planning of new products, Karl Schlicht, the probability of a hybrid sport line is estimated as 50 to 50.
