Skoda continues to implement a dynamic development strategy in recent years; the brand significantly updated and expanded its product range. Concept car Skoda VisionS, which will debut at the Geneva Salon, allows to present the appearance of future models of the Czech automaker’s SUV. In addition, the concept car serves as a platform for the presentation of the most important technologies of the future.
“Our brand continues its dynamic development – says the chairman of the Board of Directors of Skoda Bernhard Maieк. – In the segment of compact SUV class of vehicles we have presented a model Skoda Yeti. Now we are developing a new model of SUV, using our experience in the field of all-wheel drive technology. The concept car shows VisionS our key future technologies, such as hybrid drive with the ability to charge the battery from the mains, which is almost the same as going into production. ”
The feature of the concept car is a hybrid drive system with the ability to charge the battery from the mains. With capacity of 225 hp car accelerates to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds and a top speed of almost 200 km / h. To overcome the 100 kilometers it requires only 1.9 liters of gasoline, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 45 grams per kilometer. On electric Skoda VisionS can travel up to 50 km, and the total range of the model is up to 1000 km.
