At the Geneva Motor Show that took place this spring, year 2012, a new concept car was shown from the marquee AlFa Romeo. This new creation was a great gift to both the auto manufacturer and the loyal fans of Alfa Romeo, moreover it was a great debut brought to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Italy’s Alfa-Romeo. New concept was developed by the design studio Bertone. Its name is known as Bertone Pandion (translating from Latin Pandion Haliaetus – osprey is a bird of prey).

As a rule, the prototypes of future models serve two main purposes. First of all it is the tool to show design innovations, and the second to surprise all of the audiences with the unusual design. Speaking of this new concept car, we should say that the clearly recognizable second goal of the concept cars was taken by the Italian designers to achieve the brilliance level. The concept is made on the basis of Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione model and the scheme has two special boarding. On the inner side the car appears to be equipped with the 8-cylinder engine of a great volume of 4.7 liters and the power of 450 hp The length of the car is 4620 mm, width – 1971 mm, height – 1230 mm and wheelbase of 2850 millimeters. However, the most important detail in this concept car are its special doors. They are by and large the lateral parts of the body. Their length is more than 3.6 meters, and they go up to 90 degrees up with special arrangements.
