Porsche revealed Mission E concept

German giants Porsche has repeatedly hinted at the intention to release its electric car. However, until that time the company produced only hybrids: racing 919 Hybrid, winning the legendary Le Mans race and hypercar 918 Spyder. Finally, the Germans decided to reveal their cards for the first time presenting its electric Porsche Mission E at the Frankfurt Motor Show. As stated by the developers themselves, Mission E – a direct rival titled Telsa Model S with the characteristic features of Porsche cars.

The main objective pursued by the creators of the four-door electric car, was to create a full-fledged sports car running solely on electricity. According to the chief researcher and developer, the Porsche Company simply had to create an electric sports car, in order to satisfy the needs of its target audience. It is said that engineers with such easy task handled by 100%. Adding to this practical car, incredible battery capacity (it is enough for 532 km run), the power of 600 hp and a torque of 898 Nm, the Porsche got a great supercar, superior in terms of the classic version of the 911 Turbo. Acceleration to 100 km / h when the vehicle weight 2000 kg takes just 3.5 seconds. Bracket 200 km / h Mission E reaches exactly 12 seconds.

Porsche Mission E it is four-wheel drive vehicle with two electric motors (one for each axle). Through the use of so-called 800-volt battery charging technology for 80% in 15 minutes which is two times faster than any existing electric vehicles. Besides, thanks to the same technology, Porsche developers succeeded in reducing the number of different kinds of wiring, that to the best impact on the weight of an electric vehicle.
