New Honda FCV concept

The presentation of the updated version of the concept of Honda FCV was in Japan. Hydrogen prototype has got changes in the exterior and a power plant with extended range (up to 700 kilometers). The manufacturer claims that the new concept – the first in the world hydrogen vehicle with propulsion which is completely under the hood (along with fuel cells) and is not distributed in different cavities in the body. Novelty is a development prototype FCEV, first shown at the LA Auto Show in 2013. The model is a harbinger of a serial hydrogen sedan, which will replace the 2008-release model FCX Clarity with the same principle of the power plant.

The manufacturer claims that the new concept – the first in the world hydrogen vehicle propulsion which is completely under the hood (along with fuel cells) and is not distributed in different cavities in the body. Her return is about 100 kilowatts (about 135 hp). Power reserve of new prototype is 700 km. For refueling machine takes about three minutes. Unit fuel cells became 33% less compared to the previous version of the concept car.

In addition, FCV from Honda is now able to operate in a mobile power plant, which can produce energy in emergency situations, such as natural disasters.
