Skoda is Preparing 15 New Models by 2017

According to the company representatives, led by Winfried Vahlanda Skoda has developed a global development program with a focus on the markets of Asia and Pacific, where the company hopes to sell 200,000 cars per year. Global sales of the brand in the current year should amount to 762-900 thousand of cars. By 2018 this figure is expected to grow to 1.5 million vehicles.

Thus, the 5-year plan includes 15 new Skoda cars. In the next year the company should present a new budget sedan Rapid, new Octavia model, redefined Yeti and an updated five-door crossover of the citicar Citigo.

The following year, in 2013, the family of “Rapid” will have a new model of Rapid Spaceback. The company will replace the Octavia Combi. It will also release an updated Superb. At the 2014 new Fabia (a hatchback version and Combi) will be presented, as well as a new Roomster. In the same year, new Citigo minivan is also planned to be released. New generation of models of Superb and Yeti will appear in 2015. In 2016, Skoda will introduce a new crossover, which will be more than Yeti, and a new minivan, which will be larger than Roomster.
