Terrafugia Company presented TF-X flying vehicle with vertical take-off

The American company Terrafugia has published a new design of a flying vehicle TF-X with the possibility of vertical takeoff. The car has been developing since 2013. According to the manufacturer, the layout of the car, made in 1:10 scale, has already been successfully tested in a wind tunnel.

Model Terrafugia TF-X will have four seats, folding wings and autopilot system, which will be responsible for take-off, landing and flight itself to the destination. The system will analyze the weather conditions, distance, and availability of closed to civil aviation areas and will create a route.

With folded wings TF-X to turn into a normal car certified for movement on public roads. In the air, the pilot will be able to take it over, but if the electronics detect that it does not respond to requests for the computer, the system is switched on the automatic landing. Also, the car will receive system of parachutes for safe landing in an emergency.
