Concept Audi Elite is a work of great designer Eric Leong. The project was first presented at the event known as Degree Show at Umea Institute of Design in 2012. It is difficult to say what is more striking in this development: the concept of single racing car or a radical new concept of artificial photosynthesis process by which the machine is set into motion. But as a major advantage that this car can offer, apart from the standard of this competitive auto-market the author calls a revolutionary control system of Audi Elite.
Instead of a steering wheel and pedals that are quite common control systems in car, the concept Audi Elite offers the driver to use his own body in order to set the vehicle into motion. That is, the car is seen as a kind of extension of the body. Hand and arm are placed in two special mechanical “hands” that can catch every muscle movement – twist, turn, push, pull. The same fate awaits the legs – “foot pedal” is very multifunctional, and respond to a push, pressure, voltage, and other. Quite impressive we must say, maybe that is how the driving will look like in the future!
