In 2013, all fans of Porsche, a great brand from Stuttgart with more than sixty years of history, will have a great joy. Why? Well, because in September 2013 the long waited concept car will go into a series. The car that is a masterpiece of design and engineering is a great concept 918 Spyder. As a super-roadster this concept was shown to the public two years ago, but only recently it was finally decided that it will become a serial car. And it will be in an improved form, and this is actually despite the fact that the original version already shook imagination by the hurricane dynamics!

The design of 918 will incorporate elements of the exterior of a racing model 917 and RS Spyder, but the designers have managed to make this new creation certainly more modern and ideal for corporate identity, proven over decades of consistently high demand. Differences in a future production version of the concept will not be that dramatic, except for one nice detail: a detachable roof, which was absent in the concept. The new serial car on the bases of the concept will not be produced without concern for the environment – as a new serial supercar will be a… hybrid. The concept has traditionally been equipped with the engine of a small volume (3.4 liters), issuing five hundred “horses” and supplemented by two electric motors with total capacity of 216 forces. And in a series will get a 4.6-liter engine with a capacity of as much as 570 hp and electric motors with 107 and 121 horses.
