2014 Peugeot Quartz Concept high performance hybrid crossover at the Paris Motor Show

This year at the Paris Motor Show Peugeot company unveiled its new high performance Quartz Concept, that imagines a very aggressive and rough crossover. Quartz represents absolutely new direction due to the mix of off-road vehicle expressiveness and dynamic of sport-oriented Peugeot models. The style of crossovers new generation includes athletic design of exterior and interior, innovative materials such as a composites, textile fabrics, premium leather. Exterior surfaces are made in mineral grey color and matt black paintwork, going together with red highlights.

Peugeot strives for creating exclusive concepts combining an outstanding design and peerless feelings when driving. The Quartz has sharp, angular lines, LED headlights, 23-inch wheels in generously rounded wheel arches. Under the long hood there is 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 270 horsepower hooked up to the six-speed automatic transmission. There is also an electric motor, that allows to drive 31 miles on electric charge only. Unique style includes an aggressive honeycomb grille with lion emblem situated in the center. A glass roof is flowing towards the rear wings. There are two spoilers to further enhancement of Quartz aerodynamic design.
